When we share our prayers with one another, we live more fully into our identity as the Body of Christ. Praying together reminds us that we do not carry life’s joys and burdens alone, but are held by God and by one another.

In the Episcopal tradition, communal prayer—whether spoken aloud, written, or held in silence—binds us together in compassion and trust, teaching us to listen deeply and to care for the needs of the world beyond ourselves. As we lift one another before God, our prayers become an expression of love, a practice of hope, and a witness to God’s abiding presence among us.
